High School & GED Transcript Requirement

Terra State Community College requires an official final high school or GED transcript upon admission or readmission to the College. Applicants must request from their high school or state's Department of Education (for GED graduates) a transcript meeting the definitions provided. The Office of Admissions must receive an official final transcript by the 8th calendar day of the term enrolled. Home-schooled and international students are required to submit documentation meeting specifications provided.

If you are submitting an official final high school or GED transcript listed under a maiden name, we encourage you to email us at admissions@terra.edu in advance to ensure your transcript is properly matched with your College record.

Official Final High School Transcripts must:

  • Include graduation month and year
  • Include high school name (and location for out-of-state)
  • Include student name and address (or another identifier such as birthdate, maiden name)
  • Include an official's signature and/or school seal (official stamp or embossed seal)
  • For 2012 Ohio public school graduates and beyond, include the K-12 state student identification number
  • Be received directly by mail from the granting institution (preferred), or through the state's electronic transcript transfer system, or hand delivered in an unopened sealed institution envelope

Official Final GED Transcripts must:

  • Be requested from the state's Department of Education. A GED diploma with or without scores will not be accepted
  • Be received directly by mail from the Department of Education (preferred), or hand delivered in an unopened sealed Department of Education envelope

Official Homeschool Documents must:

  • Include four years of high school curriculum (or semesters student received home schooling, including senior year)
  • Include final grade per course
  • Include graduation month and year
  • Include student name and address
  • Include home school official's signature

 

For students graduating from high school outside of the United States, transcripts with special circumstances may be approved by the Director of Admissions.
