Agribusiness Management Degree 

The Agribusiness Management program combines agriculture and business management skills. This degree is appropriate for students interested in preparing themselves for a wide variety of careers in agriculture, both in production agriculture and other related fields.

Agribusiness Management allows students to combine these management skills with practical experience and/or other formal education in the field. It is also appropriate for individuals currently employed in an agribusiness setting who wish to move up to a management position.

Business Management Degree

The career field of Business Management requires the setting of goals for a business and then coordinating the various resources of the organization to meet these goals. Terra State’s Business Management program provides a well-rounded background in the various business disciplines with a focus on accounting, management, marketing, computer skills, as well as general math, communication, and business social skills.

Hospitality Management Degree

The hospitality industry is one of the Nation and Northern Ohio’s leading employers and is continually looking for well-qualified managers and supervisors. This program prepares students for a wide variety of career opportunities within the hospitality industry. The Hospitality Management major is designed to emphasize a broad base of knowledge and skills of the hospitality industry with the emphasis in strategies in supervision; sanitation; cost controls for food, beverage and labor; communication; customer service skills; management, and a blend of general education topics.

The Hospitality Management major under Business Management is a combination of general education skills including communications and mathematics, management skills, and specific hospitality management skills.

Management Certificate, General Business

This certificate program is designed to enhance the managerial skills of individuals employed in business or industry or to prepare employees to assume supervisory responsibilities.

Management Certificate, Intermediate Business

This certificate program is designed to further enhance the managerial skills of individuals employed in business or industry or to prepare employees to assume supervisory responsibilities. This is intended to be a follow up to the General Business Certificate.

Restaurant and Food Services Management Certificate

This one-year certificate will enable students to obtain short-term training to serve as bussers, servers, caterers, event managers, restaurant managers, etc. The ServeSafe® Food Handler program and ServSafe® Alcohol program, which are embedded in this certificate, provide industry-recognized credentials for those who complete the coursework.

Tiffin University’s cohort-based BBA program

Terra State’s Associate of Applied Business Management cohort program aligns with Tiffin University’s cohort-based BBA program. The cohort program allows students to begin and complete their degree with a group of individuals committed to their education and life goals. Courses are offered in a pre-determined sequence that allows students to finish their program of study in the shortest amount of time possible and to plan around their family and work schedules.

  • Students will attend classes just one night per week from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. throughout the entire program, earning both an associate degree and a bachelor’s degree.
  • Students will take five consecutive semesters of hybrid courses in order to meet the degree requirements for the AAB. Each semester will consist of 12-13 credit hours.
  • Courses are seven weeks in length with one week break between modules. However, the summer sessions are six-week sessions with no break between modules in order to comply with financial aid
