Vanguard Tech Center New Student Orientation
On Thursday, August 7, 2014, Terra State Community College and the Vanguard Technology Center will host two New Student Orientation sessions for new Vanguard Tech Center students who will be taking classes on Terra State's campus as part of their program. During New Student Orientation, you will take a campus tour, obtain your student ID card and computer username/password, learn about your Student Portal, and pick up the textbooks required for your classes.
The morning session will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the evening session will take place at 6:00 p.m. Both sessions will be identical, so you only need to attend one. New Student Orientation should last approximately two hours but staff will be available following should you have additional questions.
Since you will take a brief walking tour of campus, all guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. Additionally, please note that in order to obtain a student ID card, the student will need to know the last four digits of his/her social security number. Additionally, the student will need to present a valid photo ID (such as a driver's license, state-issued ID card, or school-issued photo ID). If the student is unable to provide a valid photo ID card, they should bring an original copy of both his/her birth certificate and social security card. For questions regarding the requirements to obtain a student ID, please contact the Terra State Reference/Help Desk at 419.559.2309.
