WEATHER-RELATED ANNOUNCEMENTS
Terra administrators monitor forecasts of inclement weather and incorporate the recommendations of other area schools, the weather forecast for the entire day and conditions in the area before making the decision to close the college. The safety of our students is the most important consideration. Check out the Urgent Updates link on the home page of the Terra Web site, www.terra.edu, for all delay and closing information or listen to the following for weather-related school delay/closing announcements:

AND SPEAKING OF DELAYS
When the college experiences a two-hour delay, it means a little something different than it does for local school districts. Due to a change to semesters, the policy effective beginning Jan. 30, 2007 will be:
“Announcement of a two-hour delay means that classes before 9:30 a.m. are canceled. Classes beginning at 9:30 a.m. and after will run as scheduled.”
A SNOWY REMINDER
When the college is on a two-hour delay, the Maintenance crew is busy trying to get the parking lots plowed and entrances and walkways shoveled and salted in preparation for the faculty, staff and students. The job can be accomplished much quicker and safer when moving vehicles or parked cars aren’t involved. Please give them the time to do their job effectively. If you see them plowing in a lot, try to park in an area that has already been plowed. Your consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated by those trying to do a very trying job.
