The Terra Community College Class of 2009 graduated May 8 during an on-campus ceremony. This was
Terra's 40th Commencement, so two alumni - Sandusky County Sheriff Kyle Overmyer of Clyde and
Jacqueline Smith-Andrzejewski of Fostoria - were the keynote speakers.

Terra Helps Reduce
the National Nursing Shortage*
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is concerned about the shortage of Registered Nurses
and has published the statement: "The United States is in the midst of a nursing shortage that is
expected to intensify as baby boomers age and the need for health care grows. Compounding the
problem is the fact that nursing colleges and universities across the country are struggling to
expand enrollment levels to meet the rising demand for nursing care."

FREMONT - Students receiving academic honors and named to the Dean's List at Terra
Community College in Fremont for Spring Semester 2009 have just been announced. These
students have met the college requirements for this honor by carrying 12 or more credit
hours and achieving a grade point average of at least 3.50.
