Terra State and its programs are accredited through a variety of commissions and state
organizations. We are proud to maintain accreditation through the following:
Terra State Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Quality improvement is the core component of HLC’s Open Pathway cycle, to which Terra
State Community College is committed. The Open Pathway cycle requires a Quality Initiative
project, to be completed by the close of the 2021 – 2022 academic year. The HLC comprehensive
evaluation site visit will occur March 25- 26, 2024.
Operation authorized under ORC 3358.05, attested by a Transitional Agreement between
the Ohio Board of Regents and the Trustees of Terra Technical College (March 18, 1994).

On October 31, 2023, the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
made the following decision regarding the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at

Certified as Peace Officer Basic Training Academy; attested by inclusion in the Directory
of Peace Officer Basic Training Academies by the Office of the Ohio Attorney General.
