Biology major courses

Students studying in associate of science or health care programs can benefit from the small class sizes and individual attention in our full year of biology courses.

Biology 101
A general introduction to cell structure and function, energy transfer processes in plants and animals, basic molecular and human genetics.
Biology 102 *
A series of experiments designed to enhance the material discussed in BIO 101.
A general introduction to cell structure and function, energy transfer processes in plants and animals, basic molecular and human genetics.
 A general introduction to the development, anatomy and physiology of plants and  animals.  (Recommended prerequisite BIO 101 and CHEM 105).
 Biology 104 *
 A series of experiments designed to enhance the material discussed in BIO 103.
A general introduction to plant and animal anatomy and physiology.
 Biology 105
 A general introduction to the study of evolution, taxonomy, and ecology. 
(Recommended pre-requisite CHM 105).
 Biology 106 *
 A series of experiments designed to enhance the material discussed in BIO 105.  A study of evolution, taxonomy, and ecology.
