Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy Certificate

The phlebotomy certificate is collaborative effort between Terra State Community College (TSCC) and Lorain County Community College (LCCC) with the certificate of completion being awarded by LCCC.
The curriculum listed below prepares
students to work as phlebotomists, highly trained professionals whose primary responsibility is the collection of blood specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture techniques. Phlebotomists are employed in a wide variety of settings, including hospital laboratories, clinics, physician offices, private laboratories, blood collection centers, home health agencies, and home visits for insurance agencies.

LCCC's Phlebotomy Program is approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), 8410 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Suite 670, Chicago, IL, (773) 714-8880, www.naacls.org.
