Getting Started

  1. Email your instructor during the first week of classes to receive specific instructions for your course. Instructor names and email addresses are provided on the Orientation Welcome Page 1 at /academics/distance/GEN1000/home.asp.
  2. College IDs are available at the Computer Services Help Desk in Building B, Room 308.  

Career Services Module

As part of this module, you are required to attend a review of your DISCOVER results.  Please be on time for the session as each session lasts only one-half hour.



Uploading an assignment to your e-portfolio.

To upload an assignment to your e-portfolio, follow the steps below:

1.      Access your student portal my.terra.edu.

2.      Click on Academic and then My E-portfolio. (A list of any e-portfolio courses that you are enrolled in will appear.)

3.      Select the appropriate course by clicking on the Upload link, and then browse for your document (stored on your computer, or on a disk or other storage device).

4.      Click upload to upload your document to your e-portfolio.

5.      A confirmation page will appear with the upload finishes.  Use the printer icon in the upper right open a receipt that you can print.  Close this window when you are finished printing.

6.      Click the link at the bottom of the confirmation page to return to your e-portfolio course listing.

7.      You may access and print the receipt again if necessary by clicking the receipt link now displayed in place of the upload link.  This receipt becomes available permanently after the document is uploaded.

8.      If you realize that you made an error and need to re-upload, contact the upload manager at info@terra.edu.  If you do not get a response with 1-2 days, contact your division office.

SOS Module Requirement
As one of the requirements for the Supporting Our Students module, you must attend one of the scheduled training sessions in Room B-305

Please note that the first half-hour of each session will be the DISCOVER Module and second half-hour will be the SMARTHINKING Module.
