ADVISING AND REGISTRATION
By working with an advisor, students are able to develop an academic
plan that will help them achieve their self-declared goals. Advisors
can help students select appropriate courses and find campus resources
that help them be successful. At Terra, we believe academic advising is
a shared responsibility. Students should be prepared for their advising
appointments and follow through with the expectations.
New students at Terra should plan to meet with an advisor in the
Admissions and Enrollment Services office for their first appointment.
After their intake appointment, the student will be assigned an academic
and faculty advisor who they should plan to see at least one every
semester. Your intake advisor in Admissions and Enrollment Services
will provide all students with an advising syllabus, which will include
contact information for their assigned academic and faculty advisor.
Students who have applied and receive a welcome letter from Terra should
contact the Admissions and Enrollment Services office at 419.559.2349 or
toll-free at 1.866.AT.TERRA, ext. 2349 to schedule their initial
advising appointment. Appointments are offered on an appointment basis
Monday through Friday.
Continuing students should login to their Student Portal and click the
My Advisor link to find their assigned advisors contact information.
Advisors assist students with selecting the proper courses to graduate
or complete their self-declared goals. Registration is an important
step to complete after you meet with an advisor to officially sign-up
for your classes. The best way to register for classes is by accessing
your Student Portal with the instructions provided in your welcome
letter. Once registration has begun, students can select the Online
Registration option to sign-up for courses. Registration for Summer
2010 and Fall 2010 semesters begins on Monday, March 29, 2010.
Students who need help using their Student Portal to register for
classes should contact the Records and Registration office, located in
Building A, room 200 or call 419.559.2405 for more information.
