ADVISING AND REGISTRATION
Students are our number one priority at Terra Community College
and to make admission and registration as convenient as possible, we have greatly simplified the process. There are essentially only two steps for new students to complete after they have been admitted: advising and registration. Both can usually be completed on a single trip to campus.
Please refer to the Enrollment Checklist.pdf for more information.
COMPASS Testing
Because
we care about your success, we ask you to take an assessment of your reading,
writing and math skills as part of the advising process. The state-of-the-art
COMPASS test is given via computer so that you can take it at your convenience
and is structured so that you can take all the time you need to demonstrate the
knowledge and skills you bring with you to Terra.
COMPASS Testing
Information
COMPASS Test Times
Monday-Thursday:
8:30
a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m.
Friday:
8:30,
10:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.
After you have completed the COMPASS, an appointment will be scheduled with an advisor to help you select the classes that are right for your goals. In most cases, advising can take place immediately after the placement test is completed--right in Admissions & Enrollment Services! The advisor will review your goals and previous work, and help you build the schedule that will work best for you. In addition, if you have questions about financial aid, specialists in this area are available to step you through the process.
Register for Classes
After
you have met with an advisor (Current Advisor List), use your
