Do you enjoy reading relevant literature about the environment, ecology and sustainability? If so, this book club is for you! This spring we will be reading “The Death and Life of the Great Lakes” by Dan Egan. This book is a compulsively readable portrait of an ecological catastrophe happening right before our eyes, blending the epic story of the lakes with an examination of the perils they face and the ways we can restore and preserve them for generations to come.

This book is divided into 3 parts " please read “The Front Door” for our March meeting, and "The Back Door" and “The Future” for our April meeting. The instructor will lead the discussion and introduce relevant concepts/topics. Each participant will receive time to voice their thoughts on the book (feel free to bring any additional resources to share!) followed by group discussion in a low-stress, friendly environment. Please purchase The Death and Life of the Great Lakes for this class (ISBN: 978-0-393-35555-0). Feel free to bring your lunch! Instructor: Zachary Rinkes, Ph.D.

*****This class will be held on Mar. 17th & Apr. 28.
