Confidentiality Statement
Overall, the information you discuss is confidential between you and your counselor and his/her supervisor. We will not release any information to any party without your written consent within the limits of the law. There are some exceptions under the law to the above statement. On occasion, information may be communicated with other appropriate individuals in situations of suspected abuse or neglect of children or vulnerable adults, situations involving potential harm to self or others, or possible court-ordered release of information.
Mental Health Counseling
The staff provides individual mental health counseling services to help students with academic, emotional, psychological, social, and behavioral problems. It is our basic purpose to help students cope with, or resolve, problems that create distress in daily living and are interfering with academic success at Terra State Community College.
Consultation and Referral
If it appears that your needs cannot be met at the Counseling Center, you counselor will attempt to locate appropriate off campus resources that best meet your needs.
