Phi Theta Kappa Phi Theta Kappa is an honorary scholastic organization for American community, junior and technical colleges. Students are invited to membership on the basis of scholarly achievement, leadership, citizenship, character and faculty recommendations. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among associate degree students. To achieve this purpose, opportunities are provided for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate in which to exchange ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
