Welcome to
The Center for Learning Achievement (CLA)
MISSION:
The Center for Learning Achievement (CLA) is dedicated to assisting students in the development of academic skills. Using a climate of sensitivity and awareness, we believe in the accessibility of post secondary education for a diverse student population. The CLA seeks to provide the opportunity for academic success through multi-level academic programs such as individualized curriculum, self-paced laboratory schedules and seminars. Access to the Internet, computer software application, and other programs are available in the computer lab of the CLA. We offer an optimal learning environment, striving to fulfill students' academic needs.
WHAT IS THE CLA?
There are three basic components to the Center.
- CLA courses that support the mainstream curriculum with basic skills development.
- A study skills component that prepares students for the rigors of college academic challenges.
- An innovation component that pilots new ideas, courses and technological applications that challenge traditional educational delivery systems.
