Welcome To The Library Wizzard is the online catalog of the Library at Terra Community College and is a part of OhioLINK, the statewide library and information network. WIZZARD provides access to materials located in the Library. These include:
To borrow materials from the Library, you MUST have a record in the librarys patron database AND a validated Terra ID. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR TERRA ID EVERY TIME YOU WISH TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN THE LIBRARY!!!
Circulation Periods
Materials are circulated for varying periods of time.
Books 21 days with two renewals
Audio Visual Materials 7 days with one renewal period
Books-on-Tape 21 days with NO renewal period
Music CDs - 7 days with NO renewal period
Video Tapes Library use only; select titles 7 days NO renewal
Reference Books Library use only
Text Reserves 4 hours with NO renewals
Juvenile Books 21 days with NO renewal period
MAGAZINES DO NOT CIRCULATE
OhioLINK materials circulate for 21 days with three renewal periods of 21 days. Non-book materials i.e. videotapes, CDs, DVDs, etc. circulate for 7 days with NO renewal period.
What is OhioLINK?
OhioLINK offers access to more than 31 million library items statewide. Currently, the OhioLINK central catalog contains more than 8 million unique records from its 80 institutions. The OhioLINK central catalog also is available to outside users via the Internet. Students and faculty have the ability to electronically request items while searching the OhioLINK central catalog. Delivery service among member institutions to speed the exchange of library items is provided.
In addition to the central catalog, users can access 90+ electronic research databases including a variety of full-text resources. However, access to the research databases is restricted to OhioLINK member users (valid patrons at OhioLINK member institutions).
The newest service area is the multi-faceted Digital Media Center (DMC). It is designed to archive and provide access to a variety of multi-medial material. We currently house a large collection of North American museum images and other art and architecture images and a growing variety of digitized images from libary collections. The DMC also includes Landsat7 satellite images of Ohio, historic Ohio city maps, social studies related materials, archival collections, foreign language videos, and physics demonstration videos.
Requesting OhioLINK Materials
Once you have found an item in the OhioLINK Central Catalog you wish to request:
Click on 'Request this Book'
Follow the on-screen instructions
If you have problems or receive an unauthorized user message, please contact the Circulation Desk in the Library ext. 2318
Under normal circumstances, your materials should arrive in 3-5 working days.
View Your Circulation Record
Return to the Welcome page and click on "Library Wizzard."
Click on View Your Circulation Record from the Welcome to Wizzard. You Will be asked to enter your name and social security number.
Use this feature to:
display items you have checked out.
check due dates.
display items you have on hold.
view your library fines.
verify your name and address.
verify why your record is blocked.
Photocopying
Many items in the Terra Community College Library may not be checked out due to the reference nature of the items. For these items a copy machine is provided. A debit copy card is required for copying. The machine is located on the wall outside the Library entrance door. A debit copy card is also required for printing from any computer. Copies can be made at a cost of $.05 per page.
A second copy machine is located on the third floor of Building B, in the hall.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish, on request, a (one) photocopy or other reproduction. One of the specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for and/or later uses a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "Fair use" the user may be liable for copyright infringement. Terra Community College reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying request if fulfillment of the request would involve violation of the copyright law.
