Fisher-Titus Medical Center, in partnership with EHOVE Career Center, Magruder Hospital, and Terra State Community College has been awarded a $4 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This grant aims to bolster the registered nurse (RN) workforce in Erie, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Huron Counties by providing direct support to LPNs that will help break down barriers hindering their career advancement, thereby improving the supply and geographic distribution of RNs across our communities.
Financial assistance is readily available for LPNs seeking to transition to RN roles. Students enrolled in the LPN to RN program at Terra State Community College or EHOVE Career Center for the Fall 2024 semester and beyond can complete an application and meet with a college representative to discuss barriers and resources needed to advance their nursing career.
