Terra State Community College Selects New Vice President for Academic Affairs

erra State Community College is pleased to announce that Dr. Doug Mead has accepted the Vice President for Academic Affairs position.
“Dr. Mead has served as Director of Institutional Research at Terra State, and he has proven to be a great addition to the Executive Team over the past two years in the role and has been instrumental in assisting the College through our Higher Learning Commission visit, as well as providing leadership over Athletics,” stated Dr. Schumacher. “Doug brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and has been an incredible asset to our campus. We welcome Doug to this new role and look forward to our continued work together.”
Terra State Community College extends its gratitude to the Search Committee for organizing and conducting a candidate search process that included input from internal and external stakeholders for this most important position on its campus. The college extends its thanks to everyone who took part in the search process, attended the presentation portions, as well as the Search Committee members involved.
Furthermore, Terra State would like to acknowledge the involvement and support of its Board of Trustees members, Tim Ellenberger and Kay Reiter, as well as members of the Foundation Board, including Tom Kern and Andrew Morgan.
Dr. Doug Mead expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m thrilled to serve in this vital role with the college! I’m looking forward to working with the outstanding faculty and staff we have at Terra State and continuing to serve our region with quality academic programs and job training.”
Dr. Mead will assume his responsibilities on July 1, 2024, and the college looks forward to his contributions as a valuable member of its team.
