Fremont, Ohio, April 20, 2018 - Terra State Community College continually works to improve the workforce of northwest Ohio.  The College’s partnership with McNaughton-McKay is an avenue that has been in place for many years providing local industry and businesses with the opportunity to ensure their employees are ahead of the curve in training.  The Terra State Electric Program welcomed representatives from McNaughton-McKay to campus yesterday for another specialized educational opportunity for local industry partners.

McNaughton-McKay presented a free seminar on products from Rockwell Automation.  According to Larry Lowe, McNaughton-McKay Account Manager, Rockwell Automation is “the big name in the United States for automation.”  Attendees learned of new automation processors, graphic interfaces and machine safety.

This particular seminar is just one of many that McNaughton-McKay brings to Terra State.  For over twenty years, the company has been presenting learning events.  They normally hold one a semester.  “McNaughton-McKay appreciates the opportunities Terra State Community College provides to our customers,” Lowe said.  “It’s an opportunity for the company to work with the people who will be using this equipment and the companies that have it in the workplace.” 

“Terra State’s Electric Program will take advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with McNaughton-McKay,” says Jeff Hamilton, Terra State Associate Professor.  “The College is afforded educational discounts on software and equipment because of this partnership.  This allows Terra State to have the most up to date equipment in the classroom to will ensure students are completely prepared when they enter the workforce.”
