Discover is a computer-based career planning and information system that is available to assess students' interests, abilities and values. Relevant career choices are then suggested, along with detailed occupational and training information. You can use DISCOVER to:
- Find out more about your interests, abilities and values.
- Search databases of occupations, college majors, schools and training institutions and military occupations.
- Save your inventory results and favorite selections in your DISCOVER portfolio.
- Create a four year course plan.
- Learn how to develop effective resumes, cover letters, job applications, and good interviewing skills.
DISCOVER is available through the Internet. Students may log on anytime and anywhere there is Internet access at http://webapps01.act.org/eDISCOVER/ . Students will need to contact Joan Gamble to receive a user ID and the Terra password.
