    Study of the fundamentals of refrigeration cycles and the thermodynamics of refrigerants. Included are high pressure components and their functions in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. An introduction to the various compressors, displacement calculations and name plate data is also covered. Use of tools, instruments, and materials. Lab work with hands-on experience with copper tubing using the various soldering and brazing processes and fittings. (Fall)
