Terra College – Chemical Dependency Degree Program

Program of Study

The Chemical Dependency program prepares students for employment in many different entry-level positions. Students seeking a career in social work should recognize that personal qualities such as warmth, honesty, openness, hopefulness, concern, and sensitivity are essential.

The student practicum portion of the curriculum provides students with supervised learning experiences in various social service agencies. The classroom and hands-on practicum provide students with the opportunity to learn how to work more effectively with the medical, legal, and social service systems established to meet the needs of chemical dependency issues.

The program provides students with a knowledge base to be used in counseling, corrections, administrative, and prevention settings.
