Terra State Community College Declining Balance Foodservice Plan

Terra State Community College Dining Services by the Cuyahoga Group is offering an exciting new declining balance plan for Terra State Community College students.

What is a Declining Balance Plan?

A Declining Balance Plan automatically deducts the amount of each purchase from the student's account. The amount of purchase and balance remaining in the account is shown on the student's purchase receipt.  When enrolled into a plan, your Terra State ID card works like a debit card.  No need to carry cash anymore!

 Select Your Payment Option

Terra State offers students a convenient way to purchase the plan through a prepaid system.  Students can enjoy great meals daily without carrying cash.

  1. Cash, check or money order made payable to Terra State Community College.
  2. Available financial aid.  Available financial aid is the credit balance available after your anticipated aid has been applied to tuition and fees.  Please keep in mind that financial aid used toward your meal plan competes with the amount of available financial aid that can be used for book purchases.
  3. Debit and credit cards including Discover, Visa and MasterCard.

When the plan is purchased, the student ID card is automatically validated for use in the Tree Tops Café. The student’s ID card must be presented for every purchase. The plan cannot be transferred.

Students may add money to their declining balance in increments of $25 at anytime during the semester at the Cashiers office, Roy Klay Hall, A-200.

The declining balance funds are automatically rolled over from fall to spring term.  But, unused amounts do not roll over from one semester to another.  At the end of the spring term declining balances are forfeited if not used.

Declining Balance: Four options

1. $500.00

2. $300.00

3. $250.00

4. Create Your Own Meal Plan - Any Other Amount

Meal Plans - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I let someone else use my card?
Meal plans are non-transferable.

What if I lose my card?
Lost cards must be reported immediately in person to a member of the Dining Service Staff, IT Help Desk, Campus Security, or at the Cashiers office. Failure to report lost cards could result in unauthorized charges to your account. As soon as you report a lost card, the account is automatically frozen, so no one can use your card.

Does Dining Services Offer Student Employment?

Absolutely! The convenience of working on campus while taking college classes is smart scheduling.

Can I treat a guest to a meal?
Yes, you can treat a friend or colleague to a meal using your plan.

What is a declining balance and how will I know my balance?

Your transaction is deducted from your balance and therefore it declines in value.  Your register receipt will show your balance.

What if I withdraw from Terra is the Plan refundable?

From a financial aid point of view, it is NEVER a good idea to withdraw from the College!  Depending on the date that you withdraw, the available balance in your plan would be refunded.  The plan refund schedule follows the College withdrawal refund calendar.  You must contact the Cashiers office in person to alert them that you are withdrawing from the program.
