Titan Athletics hires Manner as men’s and women’s soccer coach
The Terra State Titans have named Ryan Manner the next head coach of the men’s and women’s soccer programs. “I am excited to be a part of Terra State Titans Athletics and have the opportunity to share my knowledge and excitement of the sport with students,” said Manner.
“On behalf of Terra State Community College, I am excited to announce the addition of the soccer program to Terra State Titans Athletics,” said Athletic Director Gregory Hedden. “I am confident that Manner will be an excellent leader and a great new asset to Titans Athletics. I hope everyone will join us as we kick off the season.”
A native of the Huron area, Manner has built his career on coaching, mentoring and helping students. Manner has over 13 years of experience coaching youth and high school students in soccer and football. In addition to coaching, he has been playing soccer since he was eight years old.
While coaching, Manner led the 2018 and 2020 Huron High School Soccer teams to two top-10 state rankings. Previously, while coaching at Elyria Catholic High School, the girls soccer team placed top 10 in the state and made it to the elite 8 in the regional finals playoffs.
Aside from coaching, Manner is currently a School Psychologist with Port Clinton City School District, and is studying to receive his Ph.D. in Educational and Clinical Psychology from Walden University.
“Playing soccer growing up was the best experience of my life. Being able to pass that down and seeing that these students will have the same experiences I did for years to come is very impactful to me. Soccer and recruiting both have many different challenges; however, I am optimistic and looking forward to the upcoming season,” said Manner.
Both teams are excited to get their season started this upcoming fall at Sports Force Park in Sandusky, Ohio.
