Terra State Community College student Korey Robinson has been named the College’s Rotary Student of the Month for October.

He previously graduated from Thomas Worthington High School in 2020. Now at Terra State, he is taking classes to earn his Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Management and plays on the Terra State Titans Men’s Basketball team. In his time at the College, he has made the Dean’s List for the spring of 2022 semester and earned accolades as a 2nd Team NJCAA All-American for the 2021-22 academic year.

“I chose Terra State to be a part of a good, tight-knit community, to receive an education and to play basketball,” said Robinson.

Outside of class and basketball, Robinson enjoys spending time volunteering for the Fremont Recreational Center.

His nominators, Professor of Business Management Amy Drongowski, and Assistant Athletic Director and Athletic/Academic Advisor Ted Willman, credit Robinson for his hard work and positivity. “Korey has been a very positive young man who is learning to navigate higher education. He is a great teammate on the men’s basketball team. Korey will always acknowledge and greet you with a smile,” said Willman. Likewise, Drongowski added, “Korey is doing very well managing his time as a full-time student in the business management program and playing on the basketball team. He currently has a 3.87 GPA, which is difficult to do in the Business Management program. He always comes to class prepared, and I am thankful for his participation in class.”

“The experiences I will take after I leave Terra State are the work ethic and consistency I have built and created over the last two years,” said Robinson.

After graduation in May of 2023, Robinson wants to transfer to a four-year institution to earn his bachelor’s degree in business, and eventually have a career in human resources or marketing.
