Terra State Board of Trustees Makes Several Approvals

On June 22, 2022, the Terra State Community College Board of Trustees approved several actions items.

The Terra State Community College Board of Trustees approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement between Terra State Community College and the Terra Faculty Association. The new agreement includes a 3.5% salary increase for faculty effective July 1.

Vice President of the Terra Faculty Association Michelle White said, “On behalf of the Terra Faculty Association, we are excited that the three-year collective bargaining agreement was approved by the Terra State Board of Trustees. We are thrilled that the Board of Trustees supports the faculty efforts and are excited to get the school year started on a positive note. Additionally, we are happy that Terra State Community College and its administration recognize all of our hard work and determination through COVID.”

“I am pleased with the results of the negotiations,” says Dr. Ronald Schumacher, President of Terra State Community College. “We are working together to grow as a College, and I feel these changes are necessary to continue to strengthen our staff and academic programs.”

Also, the Board of Trustees approved the 2022-24 Campus Completion Plan, submitted every two years to the Ohio Department of Higher Education. This plan is the develop a systematic improvement plan for institution-wide policy and practice change that reaches the departmental and classroom level for a direct impact on student persistence and completion.

The Board of Trustees also approved the preliminary Fiscal Year 2023 budget, and Dr. Ronald Schumacher declined his annual performance incentive and any salary increase.
