Marketing Department wins NCMPR national award

The Terra State Community College Marketing Department was recognized for outstanding marketing efforts at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) national conference held March 16 – 18. The College received a silver Paragon Award for the category of Television/Video Ad – Series.

NCMPR’s prestigious Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. It is the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.

“We feel honored to place so high nationally. We found a great partner company in the Toledo area to work with on this project, Flanders Creatives, and plan on doing more with them in the future. Their filmography combined with our vision truly reflects our students and the stories they all have,” said Mike Metzger, marketing manager.

This is the first national award for the department since 2001, where they won gold for a brochure/flyer. In 2018, they won three regional awards at the NCMPR regional conference in Toledo.

NCMPR is a professional organization for individuals involved in marketing, communications, public relations and enrollment management at community, junior and technical colleges.  As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1,700 members from nearly 650 colleges across the United States and Canada.
