Terra State Hosts Workshops for Businesses and Job Seekers
Terra State Community College will host two special workshops for businesses and job seekers on Tuesday, July 13 on Terra State’s campus.
Businesses are invited to attend a workshop from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. to cover topics such as utilizing TechCred funds, Terra State’s Job Corps Scholars program and other funding resources and services available. The Job Corps Scholars program provides opportunities for those ages 18-24, who meet low-income guidelines, to gain free career and technical training in over 140 programs. More information about the workshop and online registration can be found at learn.terra.edu.
Job seekers are invited to attend from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. to learn about training opportunities, funding resources available to help increase skills and other assistance to help with finding a new job.
Both workshops will be presented by local community partners including Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP, formerly WSOS), the OhioMeansJobs Center and Terra State Community College. The workshops are free of charge and pre-registration is required due to spacing. To register, please contact Terra State’s Kern Center at 419.559.2464 or kern@terra.edu.
