Kern Center, Life Scholars to host Flavors of Fall

Terra State Community College’s Kern Center will be hosting Flavors of Fall on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 5:30 – 10:00 p.m. in the Neeley Center on the College’s campus.

Flavors of Fall will include a farm-to-table dinner and cooking demo, 50/50 and auction, wine pull, cash bar, dancing and live entertainment by Rick and Amber Hults.

The event is hosted by the Kern Center’s Life Scholars program.

“Life Scholars is a peer-led group serving mature learners, 50 years old and beyond, who share a common desire to learn by broadening intellectual interests, physical activity and social interaction,” said Holly Hoffman, coordinator of community education, “There are no tests or grades, just fun experiences for active adults, regardless of their educational background. We offer classes in numerous categories including arts, wellness, history, hobbies, workshops and more.”

Flavors of Fall is $50 per person or $80 per couple. Corporate sponsorships are available at $400 for a table of eight and include one free drink ticket per person.

Proceeds will benefit Terra State’s Cunningham Endowment Fund, which provides scholarships for senior citizens in the community to attend classes and special events.
