Terra State released list of Music Concerts for the Academic Year
The Terra State Music Department has announced its list of concerts for the 2022-23 academic year.
“I am extremely excited to announce our upcoming 2022 and 2023 Music Department concert series. There will be performances by our student and community groups featuring our classical orchestra, choir and band, smaller groups playing jazz and rock and traditional guitar and percussion ensembles,” said Director of Musical Arts and Technology Michael Czeczele. “These concerts are important to our Music program because they provide hands-on learning opportunities for our students to learn how to produce music events while providing education as well as entertainment for our community.”
The fall 2022 concert schedule is as follows:
- October 2: President Hayes’ 200th birthday ceremony; Performing: Brass and Percussion; R.B. Hayes Center; Fremont, Ohio; 1 p.m.
- October 16: Autumn is in the Air Concert; Performing: Choir, Chamber Orchestra, Brass and Percussion; Terra State Community College; Fremont, Ohio; 1 p.m.
- October 23: Fremont High School Orchestra Concert; Performing: Terra Chamber Orchestra; Fremont Ross High School; Fremont, Ohio; 3 p.m.
- December 2: Seasonal Songs for a Cold Night Concert; Performing: Jazz and Fusion Bands, Guitar Ensemble; Terra State Community College; Fremont, Ohio; 7 p.m.
- December 8: Caroling at the Hayes Center; Performing: Terra Choirs; R.B. Hayes Center; Fremont, Ohio; TBA
- December 10: Bring us Peace Concert; Performing: Concert Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band; Terra State Community College; Fremont, Ohio; 7 p.m.
The spring 2023 concert schedule is as follows:
- March 19: Rutter’s Requiem Mass; Performing: Concert Choir, Chamber Ensemble; Solomon Lutheran Church; Woodville, Ohio; 3 p.m.
- April 1: 4th Annual Midwest Rhythm Summit; Terra State Community College; Fremont, Ohio; 10 a.m.
- April 16: Music through the Ages Concert; Performing: Concert Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Band; Terra State Community College; Fremont, Ohio; 3 p.m.
- April 23: Modal Directions Concert; Performing: Jazz Bands, Fusion Bands, Guitar Ensembles; Terra State Community College; Fremont, Ohio; 3 p.m.
All the concerts are admission-free to support the College’s goal of providing music education and entertainment for area communities.
