Terra State Community College Awarded Over $250,000 in Choose Ohio First Funding
Terra State Community College has been awarded $256,000 in Choose Ohio First (COF) funding from the Ohio Department of Higher Education for Fiscal Year 2026.
The COF funding, awarded through Ohio’s signature STEM scholarship initiative, will support Terra State students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. The award matched the full amount requested by the College in its application.
“We are honored to receive this continued investment through the Choose Ohio First program,” said Interim President Dr. Cory Stine. “These scholarship opportunities help remove financial barriers for students pursuing high-demand STEM careers while strengthening Ohio’s workforce for the future.”
Choose Ohio First is designed to increase the number of students graduating in STEM disciplines and entering Ohio’s workforce in critical industries. The program provides scholarships and academic support to students enrolled in qualifying programs.
Terra State Community College continues to expand opportunities for students in high-demand career fields through innovative academic programs, workforce partnerships and student support initiatives.
